Greta Marie Nelson began her dance career at the young age of three and has loved it ever since. She splits her time between Minnesota and Los Angeles, where she maintains a busy schedule teaching, choreographing, going to college, and working. She has devoted much of her time to her education as she recently graduated from AMDA College of the Performing Arts with a BFA in Dance. Here, she has been fortunate enough to have trained with some of the best in the industry including; Joe Brown, Leslie Steves, Melissa Miles, Ambrosio Respicio lll, Nancy Dobbs Owen, Kedua, and many more.
Dance films and music videos are her favorite jobs to work. She was recently in the upcoming artist, Alexa Villa’s music video for her song, ‘Damaged’. She also got the opportunity to work on set for Tinashe’s music video, ‘HMU for a Good Time’. Greta has performed at events ranging from the Walnut Park Festival to the Universal Dance Awards.
She is known for her work ethic, creativity, congeniality, genuineness, and energy, most notably when teaching dance classes. She loves the adrenaline rush of hip-hop but feels the most creative and expressive in an abstract category of contemporary. Combining these two styles is where she feels the most confident. As an artist and human being, she strives each day to express herself fully. Her goal is to always convey love and light to those around her as she works and meets new people in the industry.
